Follow Friday (5)

Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted at Parajunkee & Alison Can Read , used to meet new friends from the blogging world!

Q: What book would you love to see made into a movie or television show and do you have actors/actresses in mind to play the main characters?

I have a love-hate relationship with movies. I like them, since they're based on the book, but I hate them, because sometimes it doesn't do it justice or it cuts out too much from the book. I hadn't thought about a book that I'd like to see made into a movie, but now I'd say maybe Daughter of Smoke and Bone and Cinder. They're both fabulous reads that do a lot more than just telling a story, they build a world of their own, and I'd love to see that in a movie.

Daughter of Smoke and Bone and Cinder, would definitely be awesome movies. I wouldn't mind seeing Cinder turned into a mini-series with multiple parts leading up to the ending. :)

Hopping on by through the hop. New Follower! Hiiiiii! :D

So very true. Sometimes movies rock...more often than not they don't live up to my expectations. I always read a book first. :-)

I would love to see The Daughter of Smoke and Bone turned into a movie! Especially if they decided to shoot it in Prague, then I could go there and see how it looks like. :D

I feel the exact same way with books-to-movies! I love the whole idea of them bringing our favourite stories to the theaters, but it's really rare for them to live up to the books. x)

But oh my gosh, YES PLEASE to both of those! <3 They would make such perfect movies! Daughter of Smoke and Bone was honestly just pure MAGIC and it would be so amazing to see it on the big screen -- and Cinder? I adored that book so much and I think it would make the most perfect film! (As long as they get Prince Kai right LOL!)

Two amazing picks for a really fun question, Sohpie! I hope you're having the most amazing weekend! :) <3

I actually didn't get to read any of the two yet. Shocking, I know, but I have scheduled a date to read Cinder soon :D
By large though, I agree with you, books that build a world are fun to see as movie too, there's always so much yum to work with right? :D

Following you back! :)

I totally agree about having a love/hate relationship with movies made from books. I hate that I get my hopes up, and am then disappointed. Cinder would make an awesome movie, if done right! So would DOSAB. :)

Had to work all weekend so I'm late coming around for Follow Friday. Actually I think both of those would be excellent choices. I loved both of those books.

I picked Soulless...mainly because I need more British actors/actresses in my life. New follower. Hope you will come visit me as well.
