Follow Friday (8)

Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted at Parajunkee & Alison Can Read , used to meet new friends from the blogging world!

Q: What is the longest book you've read? What are your favorite 600+ page reads?

Hm... I always love super long books. That only means you will read the same book for a longer period of time! When I was little I read long books all the time (these long books mainly being the Inheritance series by Christopher Paolini and other Spanish YA releases), but since I started reading English YA books I've noticed books are not usually very long -- they are 300+ pages most of the time. But then there are also long books, like The Host by Stephanie Meyer... And that's the only one I can think of (apart from the ones already mentioned)!

All in all, the longest are...

Panteón by Laura Gallego García | 942 pages
Brisingr by Christopher Paolini | 763 pages
The Host by Stephenie Meyer | 619 pages

Wow! Kudos on finishing those INSANELY long titles.

Hi Sophie,
Thank you for stopping by my blog for the Hop. I am now following you also. I never heard of your first two books listed but I did read The Host and I actually really liked it. The books I read are mostly around 400 pages. I have only read a few 600 pages. :) Thanks again and nice meeting you!

Thanks for stopping by - happy to return the follow.

Personally, I love long books and actually tend to seek them out. If it's a really good read, I simply don't want it to end!

Your blog is so cute! I love the template =)

I also read The Host. I absolutely LOVED it even though I know some people find it hard to get into. I'm so looking forward to the movie too!

Thanks for stopping by my blog/FF. I'm a new follower too!

I tried reading The Host, but sadly was not my type of read. Haven't heard of the other two though.

Thanks for stopping by and following. Old follower,

I love reading long books too!! ♥ Especially when they're really good because then you usually never want them to end! x) But that's really true that most YA books are just over or under 300 words(except maybe Cassandra Clare books, but hers always HAVE to be long because so much goes on in them LOL!). I guess that those short books are just perfect for times when you want a fast and awesome read. ;)

But THE HOST!! Oh my gosh, that book may have been lengthy but it was SO SO good! I can't wait until the movie for that one comes out!

Ohhh, Sophie, I LOVE Fridays! (And I'm going to see the Hunger Games movie tonight -- EEEEEP!!) I hope you have the most amazing weekend! :) ♥

I really want to read The Host and the Inheritance series.

If you consider the fact that the version of The Lord of The Rings I read was the one that’s one book with the 3 parts inside (1202 pages in the brazilian version), that would be the longest book I’ve ever read. But if you consider series to favorite 600+ page reads, hands down, Harry Potter. Not so much for the story, but for the feeling it brings me every time I think about it.

I'm a new follower, btw!
